When we look through the wedding magazines and browse the wedding blogs, we see the beautiful countryside and breathtaking beaches. But with over 90% of UK citizens living in cities, why don’t we see more city weddings? We’ve put together some of our favourite urban weddings that will change your mind about crossing out any city venues.
Music in my heart
This beautiful and eclectic music inspired wedding was held at the Islington Metalworks in London. Offering its own industrial magnificence, this venue was well and truly the most amazing venue for an eccentric theme based around the couple’s favourite music.
Wedding Warehouse

Who said a warehouse couldn't be the perfect wedding venue? This absolutely stunning wedding truly took the industrial theme to another level, using the historic MC Motors as their reception location. Want free reign on your wedding day? This venue is perfect.
Strong as steel

Today is all about the beauty that lies within industry, and this wedding reception at the Islington Metal Works is up there. From blank canvas to true British fun, this multi-coloured delight is the definition of city perfection.
Life is fruitful
Back to an old warehouse, but this time in Hull at the venue
Fruit
The industrial setting surprisingly offers a relaxed space that can be entirely tailored to the couple. This couple had the main space decorated with lights and lots of orange accessories. They even had space in the back room for a nacho table!
Knees up
Lastly, a venue that’s often visited as much as your own home - your local pub. This city pub location (The Peasant in Clerkenwell) really offered a relaxed and comfortable setting for a good ol’ knees up. Best thing about a pub wedding? It’s already kitted out and we can’t forget the great beer. What do you think about a city wedding? Do you like the industrial vibe or would you prefer a countryside occasion?
